I’m actually not a big drinker but I do like a cheeky glass of the sparkly stuff every now and again and tonight I’m in a celebratory mood.  First of all, and for the first time this year, I drove home from work in DAYLIGHT so the days are definitely drawing out. It’s bitterly cold but the air is clear, there’s no wind and I was able to whip out my phone and take this  photo of the stunning view from the South end of my house. When I first came to view the house I drove up, got out of the car and was sold before I even stepped over the threshold. The inside needs a little more decorating but the outside wallpaper is incredible.

Secondly my blog is only two weeks old and already it’s had over 1300 hits and has 640 followers.  I have no idea in the grand scheme of bloggers if this is good, average or otherwise but for my own personal achievement I am absolutely delighted with the response it received and I’m loving blogging life. Thank you to everyone who has written comments and inspired me to keep going I really appreciate it.  It’s great fun viewing stats and seeing the peaks and troughs of views, and I can see daily where people are checking in from. I’ve had hits from so many countries. Australia, New Zealand, USA, Kenya, South Africa, Ireland, United Arab Emirates, Zimbabwe (Hi Jules) Belgium, France, Netherlands Estonia and of course UK. Having read these stats to Orkney Beef he’s just declared he’s going to start a blog too.I think the notion will quickly pass but I’ll keep an eye open for beef news.

Egg count is still sitting at zero by the way, just in case you were wondering.
